Langenselbold (www.langenselbold.de) is a city with a population of over
13,000, located in the Kinzig Valley at the edge of the Spessart Forest.
The Brothers Grimm, Charlemagne and the Roman-Catholic church-builders,
among others, are associated with this part of Central Germany. Langenselbold
has been chosen for the Hessentag 2009, a two-week, annual festival in
June (www.hessentag2005.de). Created after World War II, this cultural
event is designed to bring old and young, new and old inhabitants in Hesse
together, regardless of nationality.
